How long does it take for my website to be built?

Depending on the volume of sites I am working on at the time, I can usually have you online within a few days and your site completely finished within two weeks.

Will search engines be able to find my full Flash website?

Yes, we recognize that Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is an important factor of web design. Though Adobe and Google have just came out with new technology allowing Google to read the content of your Flash website, it is not in full use yet. For this reason, I go to extra lengths when writing the html page that your flash site opens up into. Behind the scenes, each of our Flash sites contain meta, name, content, and key word tags, specifically designed for SEO.

Do you charge any site maintenance fees?

No. Website updates, modifications, and additions are done only at your request for a flat rate of $30/hr (1hr minimum charge).

Will my Flash website work in every Internet browser?

Yes, In the process of putting your site online we check it in, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari. In some cases users may be prompted to update their Flash player in order to view the site. This is very rare, as most computers will already have flash player installed. Not all cell phones currenlty offer Flash but this can be easily worked around by creating a sperate mobile site or a simple html landing page that only cellphone users will see.

Can I update my Flash website myself?

Yes and No. All of Flash websites offered by JHFX Design are xml content driven. Meaning, in order to change or update content on your site you only need to edit the xml file and reload it back to your server. In some cases a very small amount html might be needed, however copying and pasting existing code is an easy way around this. For an added fee, JHFX Design will create a step by step video tutorial specifically for your website to use as a reference any time you need to make updates. Or you may choose to have us do the updates for you. We charge $30/hr for site updates, modifications, or additions to your site.

Can I add a blog to my site?

Yes. We will be happy to incorporate a blog into your website. You can continue to use one you already have or we can set up a new one for you. We recommend setting up your blog with Wordpress.com or Tumblr.com

Can you build an ecommerce store into my Flash site?

Currently, I can only offer Full Flash eCommerce stores that use PayPal to process their credit card orders. However we do offer several options for non-Flash eCommerce stores which allow you to use your own gateway to process credit cards. Usually I provide a nice modern Flash website that has non-Flash eCommerce store attached to it.
